Lakeland Health Orthopedic Care Among Top 10 Percent in Nation

(ST. JOSEPH) – Lakeland hospitals in Niles and St. Joseph were recently named among the top 10 percent in the nation for overall orthopedic services (2017-2018) and are one of only seven hospitals in Michigan to receive the Healthgrades Orthopedic Surgery Excellence Award™ for two years in a row (2017-2018). In addition, Lakeland Hospital, Watervliet was a recipient of the Healthgrades 2017 Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ and named among the top 10 percent in the nation for outstanding patient experience.

Healthgrades is the leading online resource helping consumers make informed decisions to find the right doctor, the right hospital, for the right care. Clinical outcomes rating methodology is based on independent analysis of mortality and complication rates for more than 5,000 short-term acute care hospital across the country.

Lakeland hospitals in Niles and St. Joseph have received five stars for the quality outcomes of its total knee replacement surgery from Healthgrades® for the past four years (2015-2018) and five stars for hip fracture treatment for the past two years (2017-2018).
